Graduation!

Yup. I graduated from College. San Jose State University to be exact. And my Degree? That was in Child and Adolescent Development. What am I going to do with it? Go to more school of course:) I will be starting the Teacher Education Credential Program in June. And after that? I am planning on either finding a full time teaching position in an Elementary School nearby or Substitute Teaching if that doesn't work out. But for the next month... I am a free woman! Done and graduated:) Sweet.

Thank you for dealing with my grumpy moods around midterms and finals and for encouraging me to get into an even harder and more stressful credential program for the next year of our lives but knowing that it will all be worth it. For telling me that I am smart and amazing, even when I didn't feels so smart or amazing at the time. And for being such a great support to me, ALWAYS. No matter what. Thank you:)

SJSU Lab Preschool

This semester at SJSU, one of my classes included working in the Preschool on campus for 8 hours each week. I was fortunate enough to be with a group of exceptional students. They were all so creative and came up with some great activities for the children. I had a great time this semester and will really miss the great kids and my fellow teachers.

Most of the kids and teachers.... it is hard to keep these kids all together for more than a few seconds for a picture.

We rotated through jobs in the classroom including preparing snack, watching the kids outdoors, and creating art, science, movement and literacy activities for the preschool children. I know that we all jotted down more than a few notes about each other's activities for future reference.

It was a great semester with a great group of kids and teachers. I will kind of miss coming home dirty on Tuesdays and Thursdays from playing like a kid all morning.

Elizabeth's Wedding Weekend!

About 2 weeks ago, on May 1st, one of my best friends growing up got married in the Oakland LDS Temple! Lucky for all of us, our group of 4 friends were all able to be there and celebrate this exciting day with Elizabeth. We have all known each other since we were 5 and have stayed in touch and stayed close even as some of us moved away and we all went away to college. I am so grateful that we have stayed so close and have been able to support one another as each of us got married one by one. Congratulations Elizabeth and Dave!

We had to stop at In-n-Out Burger on the way home from the wedding for a late lunch/early dinner. Kalisha's family moved to Utah when we were in High School and In-n-Out was the one thing that they really, really missed about California (well now In-n-Outs are all over Utah so we aren't so special anymore... Just Kidding ;)

We had to take a picture in front of the In-n-Out Burger because both of our brother's are serving missions in places were there is no In-N-Out and they both have said in their letters that they miss those yummy burgers, fries and shakes. So we enjoyed some for them :)
